I am looking for the perfect thing to engrave in my fiance's wedding band. We both want a special something on the insides of our rings. Any ideas? -- Kitty_bean
Dear Kitty_bean,
We love the idea of engraving the insides of your bands -- a private message only seen by the two of you! We're big fans of simply putting the other's name inside your band along with your wedding date. Or, take a close look at your vows and see if there's a short phrase you might use as an inscription. You could also inscribe words from your wedding song, the phrase "Love, honor, and cherish," or even "Put it back on!" Since the engraving process adds a little time to completing your order, be sure to discuss with your jeweler whether you will have enough time for the inscription to be done before the wedding. Otherwise (if you can bear the idea of going a few days without your rings later), plan to have it done post-ceremony.
Here are some suggestions from other iVillagers:
"I had 'From This Moment On' engraved inside my husband's ring." --popcorn99
"The symbol of infinity." --cbieniek
"We put the title of our song -- I Got You, Babe' -- on the inside of our rings." --Stacia
