In addition to your wedding reception, there are other wedding-related parties you may be planning, as well: rehearsal dinner, post-wedding brunch, even a bridesmaid luncheon. Why not make these events just as unique as your wedding reception? Here are five unique ideas for your rehearsal dinner and post-wedding brunch.
1. Drinks With a Twist
Serve up signature cocktails at the brunch. Do you have fond memories of sipping (virgin) Pina Coladas by the pool on vacation? Re-create the concoction -- with alcohol -- for your guests. Do you love Italy and all its charms? Serve up Bellini's (prosecco and peach nectar).
2. Frame It
Create your own bride and groom photo placemats for the rehearsal dinner: Scan in tons of photos of the couple, from childhood through those awkward teenage years to now, and lay them out in a design program on your computer. Print to the standard placemat size. Or, for the tech unsavvy, simply tape a collage together then photocopy at a reputable shop. You can even laminate them for a fun keepsake.
3. Goodie Bag
Before you bid your guests adieu at the brunch, send them on their travels with a farewell treat. Think: doughnut holes, gumballs, even mini bottles of water. Place the goods in paper bag stamped with your new address and a note to keep in touch.
