How early should a bride order a cake?
The average is six months ahead of the wedding date. But some brides call me a year ahead of time. And yes, I have been called the month before too. We always try and oblige if we are not completely booked.

What is the price range for one of your cakes?
They are between $10 and $12 per person.

Any cost-cutting tips for budget-conscious brides?
There are two easy ways to cut costs. Either buy a cake that doesn't serve every guest, especially if there will be other desserts, or decorate with fresh (real) flowers. The main cost involved with a wedding cake is the designer's time. Sugar decorations and hand-piping all take time. To eliminate this extra cost, ask for a tiered cake but decorate it yourself with beautiful blooms.
