Q

Dear Wedding Women:

My fiancee's parents are recently divorced. Both his parents and my parents are helping to pay for the wedding, and I am not exactly sure whose names to include on the invitations. Should I just leave all names off, or his parent's names off? Help!

Clingo

A

Dear Clingo:

When it comes to wording your wedding invitations, you've got endless options. Believe it or not, your dilemma is very common. There is -- we promise! -- a solution.

Ultimately, you have to word your invitations the way that is most comfortable for you and your groom. But if you can help it, try not to leave anyone out whose feelings would be hurt. Here are some possibilities.

Option 1:
Mr. and Mrs. Clingo's Parents
and
Mr. Fiance's Dad and Ms. Fiance's Mom
request the honour of your presence...

Option 2:
Mr. and Mrs. Clingo's Parents
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
Clingo
to
Fiance
son of
Mr. Fiance's Father and Ms. Fiance's Mother

Option 3:
Clingo
and
Fiance
along with their families
request the honor of your presence

Hope one of these options works for you.

Good luck!
