There's a lot to think about when planning your reception menu. Not only are there a multitude of culinary options to choose from, you also want to make sure that your menu reflects your wedding style. From timing it right to ordering kid's meals here are answers to some of the most-asked catering questions.

How Late Is Too Late To Eat?

Q. We're planning to have a 7 p.m. candlelight ceremony followed by a reception with a sit-down dinner. We've had a few people say they thought that was too late for dinner. But due to the church's time constraints, we can't have the ceremony any earlier. What should we do?

A.
If the ceremony is at 7 p.m., dinner can start around 8 p.m. -- as long as the reception site isn't too far away. You could simply forego the cocktail hour and launch right into supper. Besides, dinnertime technically falls between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. -- so really, you're in the clear. If your guests really think a later dinner is going to be a problem, they can simply have a snack before they arrive.
