Your wedding video will capture each special moment at your wedding. From getting ready to walking down the aisle to your first dance and every word of your dad's toast, your wedding video will capture the sounds and movements of your wedding. Talk to your videographer about what you want him to videotape and what you don't - not every woman wants video of her in her underwear - and read these tips to ensure that your wedding video is something you'll cherish forever.

Scene 1: Preproduction

Like every other vendor you work with, you'll have several discussions with your videographer before the wedding day. First, go over your day-of specifics, beginning with the site. If your videographer has filmed there before, he should easily be able to put together a wedding day game plan. If he's not familiar with the site, he should find out if it has any rules or restrictions (like if they require liability insurance). Also ask whether he's ever worked with your photographer. If not, suggest that the two touch base so they can coordinate how they'll shoot some of the major moments -- like your first dance or the cutting of the cake -- and stay out of each others' frames.
